Is your hospital looking to get some recognition for its environmental stewardship work? Join us to learn about how you can apply for a Practice Greenhealth Environmental Excellence Award. Whether just getting started or leading the way, there is an award for your clinic, hospital or other health care organization. This webinar provides a tour of the online system and is designed for health care facility members. (A separate call is being held for business members).

This call will be recorded and archived and will be available on Greenhealth Academy. A second webinar will be provided on Wednesday, January 7^th at 2 ET.

Learning Objectives

This webinar will provide an introduction to the 2014 Practice Greenhealth Environmental Excellence Awards system and take potential applicants on a virtual tour of the Awards Dashboard and the Partner for Change Award application. This session will:

• Introduce the 2015 Awards system and highlight user enhancements.
• Outline the application period and submission deadlines.
• Assist you in identifying the right award application for your organization.
• Lay out the data that is required for awards submission.
• Introduce the people, tools and resources that can assist you in completing an application.

Cecilia DeLoach Lynn, Director of Facility Engagement & Metrics, Practice Greenhealth

Cecilia DeLoach Lynn is the Director of Facility Engagement & Metrics for Practice Greenhealth. She brings more than 16 years’ experience in developing customized sustainability programs for health care institutions, and has expertise in providing professional education to health care audiences on a range of sustainability topics. She has developed numerous tools and guidance on topics such as waste, chemicals, energy, water, and purchasing—to today’s more current focus on building an infrastructure, leadership and measurement framework for sustainability. Cecilia leads Practice Greenhealth’s ongoing efforts to define a set of sustainability metrics that accurately reflect environmental performance in healthcare and manages a portfolio of nearly 300 hospitals.

Kaeleigh Sheehan, Project Manager, Practice Greenhealth

Kaeleigh is a Project Manager for Practice Greenhealth, largely focusing on the Greening the OR Initiative. She oversees the education, training, communications, public relations, tools, resources and engagements relative to Greening the OR efforts. Kaeleigh works to assist, enhance and establish sustainable best practices within the OR suite, as well as oversees the Council for Environmentally Responsible Surgery.
