HHI Series: Educating & Communicating Sustainability Initiatives - Insider tips for Internal & External Messaging

Session Description

Like many robust sustainability programs have discovered, engaged leadership is key to truly transitioning environmental considerations into part of culture, rather than a standalone project. Education and communication, both internally - with staff and caregivers - as well as externally - to the patients, visitors, and local community - play a significant role in the level of engagement and success of the program. Learn how Cleveland Clinic and Inova Health System have developed comprehensive strategies, from employee surveys and events to community farmer's markets and local press - to drive sustainability and the Healthier Hospitals Initiative.
