Kim Ray
Co-Chair Environmental Action Committee, Dignity Health California Hospital Medical Center
Kim Ray is the Facilities Coordinator at Dignity Health, California Hospital with eight years of on the ground experience in Health Care Environmental Program Development. Since she started at the hospital ten years ago, she has held positions in both in Risk Management and Environmental Services before moving into Facilities. Kim Coordinates the Environment of Care Team, seeing this of as part of her passion for a safe and sustainable healing environment. She is an expert in Waste Stream Management, Environmental Data Tracking, Employee Engagement and Current Best Environmental Practices in a Hospital Setting. As co-chair of the California Hospital Environmental Action Committee, she’s lead her team to win the Practice GreenHealth Emerald Award in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Kim also serves on the Humankindness Team at California Hospital and volunteers on the Heart of the City Five K Run Committee.
Kim started her working life in the Film Industry and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater Arts from San Francisco State University. She is a Founding member of Los Angeles Theater Sports. A health issue changed her career path, giving her a desire for work that allowed her to ‘give back’. She also previously was a small antique business owner, and continues this on a part time basis, with the happy knowledge that living with antiques is a wonderful way to recycle and re-use. She has two sons, both currently living in Los Angeles, and her favorite color is green.

Samantha McKeough
Sustainability Coordinator, HealthPartners
Currently the Sustainability Coordinator at HealthPartners, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Samantha has worked within HealthPartners’ award winning Sustainability program for over two years. In this role, she works to identify environmental and financial opportunities, reduce waste and mitigate the organization’s environmental footprint in order to fulfill its’ mission “to improve health and well-being in partnership with our patients, members, and the community.”
She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where she earned a degree in Environmental Studies as well as a degree is International Studies. She is an active participant in several professional workgroups and is a board member for the Women’s Environmental Network.

Member Engagement Manager, Practice Greenhealth
Hermine Levey Weston, RN, MBA is Member Engagement Manager at Practice Greenhealth where she manages member accounts by providing support and technical expertise related to environmental and sustainability programs in health care settings. She is a health care professional with over 25 years of experience in health care quality management. Prior to joining the Practice Greenhealth team she was employed by the Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Hermine developed the sustainability framework for improvement at this hospital and consulted with other community hospitals and nursing homes in Western Massachusetts regarding health care sustainability. For these efforts she was recognized as a Nurse Luminary whose members shine a light on environmental challenges in the diverse settings where they live and work. Hermine applied her healthcare experience while earning a Green MBA from Antioch University New England.
