Healthcare organizations are increasingly pressured to deliver better patient outcomes with fewer resources. By applying Lean principles to improve physical processes within the OR, facilities can see a reduction in waste and incur cost savings - further driving sustainability in the surgical department while increasing overall efficiency. Sara Lourie, MetroWest Medical Center, Resource Coordinator for Surgical Services & Green Team Chai
Sara Lourie is the Resource Coordinator for Surgical Services at MetroWest Medical Center in Massachusetts. She also sits as the Chair of the Greening the OR Committee at Metrowest Medical Center, and is an active member of the Hospital Green Team. She has also been a surgical technologist at MetroWest for six years.

Timothy P. Jones, COO/Administrator, MetroWest Medical Center/Leonard Morse Hospital
Tim Jones has been Chief Operating Officer/Administrator at MetroWest Medical Center since November 2007. He is responsible for operations, including fiscal performance of the Natick Campus. Tim has been a healthcare professional for 25 years in both acute care and ambulatory settings. His career reflects both clinical experience as a Radiation therapist, as well as progressive leadership experience in various settings.

Before joining the Vanguard Health System as the Metro West Medical Center, Leonard Morse Hospital executive, Jones was an administrator for St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center (Caritas, Boston), and the Corporate Director for Imaging, Cardiology and Neurology at Hallmark Health System (MA). Tim has significant experience in business development and leadership, physician relations, team facilitation and fiscal management.
