Session Description

This session will highlight best practices for carbon accounting in health care. Carbon accounting principles managed properly in health care lay the foundation for effective enterprise energy management. This session will introduce the audience to the five principles of carbon accounting and explain their relevance and impact in the health care sector. The session will be led by William Paddock, managing director of WAP Sustainability Consulting, with input from carbon accounting project team members from HCA, Tenet, and Ernst and Young. The panel will share their experiences using Practice Greenhealth tools and the Healthier Hospitals Initiative framework in carbon accounting projects.
