Session Description

Building materials and furniture are complex. Understanding the health impacts of the products specified every day is even more complex. Join two well-known leaders in sustainable health care design and two sustainable leaders in the furniture and flooring product industries to learn more about the Health Product Declaration (HPD): an objective tool for accurate product content reporting and the relationship of product content to human and ecological health. Attendees will learn how the HPD is integrated into building certification systems (LEED v4), product labels, and product assessments; and will have a deeper understanding of the critical importance of transparency.
