Session Description 

Common knowledge dictates that sustainability initiatives require grassroots support, but who supports the grassroots? Approaching the question from a cultural standpoint this panel will explore common characteristics of leadership in the sustainable health care initiatives of three hospitals. The panel includes speakers who hold sustainability project or full program leadership positions at Yale-New Haven Health, Gundersen Health System, and Partners HealthCare, plus a primary speaker who has been studying sustainability in health care from an anthropological perspective.
