Session Description

Is your organization planning to apply for Champion for Change award this year? Considering applying for the first time? This sharing call is designed to answer your toughest (and the most basic) awards questions.

This call will provide a tour of the online system and is designed for current business members and strategic associates, as well as business members who expired after July 20, 2015. Winners demonstrate successful accomplishments in "greening" their own organization and have assisted their associated health care facility clients/members/customers in improving their environmental performance. This call will be recorded and archived and will be available on Greenhealth Academy.

Learning Objectives

During this Sharing Call, we will:

• Provide an overview of the 2016 Awards system and highlight new user enhancements.
• Outline the application period and submission deadlines.
• Answer your questions about data submission.
• Explore how the application will be scored and what evaluators are looking for.

Winners of the Champion for Change award are celebrated at CleanMed 2016 with a press release, award ceremony, and listing in the magazine. Get credit for your hard work

Lara Sutherland is the go-to person for health care suppliers engaging with Practice Greenhealth. Previously, she ran the Environmental Purchasing Program at Practice Greenhealth. Her prior experience also includes working in the Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Program for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as a cell biology research assistant at Harvard University Medical School, and as an analytical chemist at the Massachusetts Pesticide Analysis Laboratory. She earned her bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Amherst College.
